Provide quality professional development to the member campuses and CCCOnline faculty freely on the web and help with versioning/revisions of materials in multiple training sections over time.
GOALS / EXPECTATIONS:
- Create a high quality easily accessible professional development resource.
- Collaborate with member campuses and internal groups to create high quality resources grounded in current research, best practices for teaching and learning, and universal design for technology.
The sharing of our resources openly began in 2007 and has continued with the support of the CCCOnline and CCCS administration, collaboration with CCCOnline's ProfHelp, and feedback and materials creation by numerous faculty and staff with CCCOnline. MAJOR CHARACTERISTICS:The CCCOnline Faculty Wiki includes sections on Tech Tools and Teaching Resources. These materials are used within the Training & Professional Development online asynchronous workshops. The transition of these materials from within the LMS box and out on to the open web via our Faculty Wiki gave member campuses and the world access to the majority of our in-house created training materials and assisted CCCOnline with versioning related to updates to workshops across different LMSs. Furthermore, our Webinar Archive listed under the Professional Development section of the Faculty Wiki offers recordings and materials of webinars on topics ranging from technology and andragogy for online learning and are freely available for our member campuses and the world. Finally, our Workshop descriptions, also under the Professional Development section of the Faculty Wiki, include objectives and links to materials on the Faculty Wiki for each workshop providing additional teaching and learning resources freely to member campuses and the world.
